At Mathnasium Learning Centers, we make math make sense!  Whether your child started out far behind or already ahead in math, Mathnasium will help them leap ahead because we know that any child can be successful in math—it’s a matter of teaching it in a way that makes sense to them.

Mathnasium@Home has been helping students online since March 2020.

Get Used to Test Taking

Many schools paused quizzes, tests, and even homework this year. Students have not had the experience of working through a long test in a focused manner for quite some time now. We've provided several years' practice tests below to get your student used to test-taking again.

It is a fact that many online or hybrid classrooms are not able to cover the full grade curriculum these past pandemic years. Once you identify areas of weaknesses—whether your child has forgotten the skills or the topics were never covered—review these specific areas by clicking the category in the next session.

We recommend students start with an MCAS practice test from a prior grade. For example, a 4th grader should take a 3rd grade MCAS test to warm up their skills. This will increase a student's confidence level as well as identify areas of weaknesses for a student who has lost math skills during this pandemic year.

Click the links to the right for actual MCAS math tests from previous years. Print the PDF for your child.

Note: These are partial tests. The MA Board of Education does not release full tests (probably so they can recycle questions).    Y2020 had no MCAS  due to Covid-19.

Answer key is at the end of the PDF.

TIP: Find a quiet place and a block of time where your student can focus on taking the test without distractions.

The most effective way to prepare for a Standardized test is to practice on past year tests.
